Take two?

So, here are a couple of pictures from the other day. It's still London, but I got her more interacting with her momma. I feel like I'm going more toward exploring what kinds of things are passed down from parent to children.

  1. I think the last one is more getting across the point of passing down those traditions because there is that physical contact between Mum and London. Although, the first image is a look that I see daily from Mum so I can see the connection there. I wish in the one with Mum helping London with her apron (the second one) I would like to see a little more from the front of them, but with all the commotion going on that night I understand why it was from there. Also, next time you shoot at the house let me know and we can set up my flash and bounce it off the ceiling so that there is more fill light. But overall, pretty successful I would say.

  2. I agree with Hayley on some of the contact info, but there is really something to be said for those middle two (especially that third with momma's expression behind London).

Perhaps it's my screen but the background peach/pinkish tones are taking on a painterly quality with offers an interesting contrast and support to the main elements of the composition. Whether intentional or not that offers something to consider there for this series.

I'm not sold on the hands making contact being necessary but as long as within each composition you see 'presence of previous generation in contact with newer generations' that is still an appropriate vehicle for communication. Good! More?
